Treatment - Adolescent / Teens
This is the age when most common age for Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment. Treatment during the adolescent phase usually occurs when most, if not all of the permanent teeth are present. Depending on their dental development, children are usually between 11 and 14 years of age. Some treatments, especially those designed to actively encourage the lower jaw to grow, are most successful during this period.
When treatment is complete and the ideal smile and bite has been established, the result can be maintained throughout life with the use of retainers.
